To receive a cosmetology license in Missouri or a license in 1 of the other beauty practitioner disciplines in this state you have to nourish a licensed schoolhouse and complete the minimum required training hours before you tin can have the land'south board exams. Cosmetology License Renewal

Cosmetology licenses in Missouri are renewed every two years. No continuing education hours are required for renewal.  The renewal fees are $30 .

Out-of-state license / Out-of-country license

An out-of-state license does authorize you for a cosmetology license in Missouri (without examination!) for a person who either

  • has practiced cosmetology for at to the lowest degree two (2) consecutive years in another state, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. or who
  • holds a electric current cosmetology license in some other land, territory of the U.s.a., or the Commune of Columbia, when the requirements for licensure, are substantially equal or superior to those in Missouri at the fourth dimension of application.
